A Colorful November to Remember

November will forever be etched in my memory as an exceptional month, full of emotions, encounters, and remarkable events. Between a training camp in Turkey with Team Belgium, a warm club dinner, incredible recognition at the Spikes d’Or, and my first appearance on national television, this month was both intense and rewarding. Here’s a recap of these unforgettable moments.

A training camp in Belek with Team Belgium

I had the incredible opportunity to attend my first training camp with Team Belgium in the stunning setting of Belek, Turkey. This experience was unforgettable, not only because I trained in world-class facilities but also because I had the chance to be around Belgium’s top athletics stars.

Sharing this experience with my friend Mimoun was a real privilege. We learned so much by observing the “greats” of our sport, both technically and personally. This camp brought me closer to some athletes and coaches, further fueling my drive to pursue excellence.

A tribute at USBW

The annual dinner of my club, USBW, is always a highlight, but this year’s event was particularly special. The evening celebrates the performances of all the club’s athletes, but I had the honor of receiving a special tribute for my 2024 season.

I want to warmly thank the club’s Board of Directors, especially our president Olivier Parvais and our technical director Raphael Darquennes. My coach, Cédric Van Elsuwé, has once again been a cornerstone of my journey. The unwavering support from USBW motivates me to push myself every day.

A recognition at the Spike d’Or 2024

This unforgettable month concluded with a bang as I earned my first nomination for the Spikes d’Or in the “Rising Star” category. The ceremony, held at the Brasserie Lamot in Mechelen, was fittingly prestigious and inspiring.

Being named among the best, alongside Olympic athletes, was an incredible acknowledgment. It crowns a season full of challenges but also rich in achievements. A big thank you to Belgian Athletics and its partners Vermarc, Lotto, and Allianz for their warm welcome and support of our sport.

My Appearance on RTBF

November also marked another first for me: my debut on national television on RTBF’s 100% Sport program. The feature was filmed during my training camp in Belek, offering an authentic glimpse into my workouts and daily life with Team Belgium. This unforgettable experience allowed me to showcase another side of myself and share my journey with a broader audience. I hope this opportunity inspires other young athletes and brings fans closer to the world of athletics.

This November was extraordinary, filling me with energy and motivation for what’s to come. Hurdle training is already well underway, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds, with 2025 on the horizon. Thank you to everyone supporting me on this adventure. Stay tuned for more of my athletic journey!
